Even though we like to believe we are one whole complete person, there are many parts to us. Some of them want one thing and some want the complete opposite. For example, you think you want to be rich and successful. You wonder, if I really want it then why am I poor? Another, very strong, primal part of you is afraid of all the things that might happen if you get rich and successful.
There you are, beating yourself up, not getting any better, when a part of you is gleefully rejoicing because it is getting exactly what it desired. It is keeping you safe and away from harm’s way. Luckily, passion beats fear and doubt. All you have to do is integrate these deep rooted fears and beliefs so you can achieve your healthy, conscious “desires.”
Main Human Fears
The biggest fears we have as humans can be classified into three categories:
– being abandoned by our tribe. That is, judged, shunned, talked about badly. We are all scared of standing out from the crowd and being pushed down. Up there is where the most intoxicating, liberating freedom is found.
– failing. It’s not so much about the failing part, but more about what will people think of us when we fail.
– not being enough. Urghhhhh. The ultimate greatest fear of everyone. The deep rooted base for all insecurities. Not. Good. Enough.
What is good enough though? Is your worth rooted and unchangeable? I guarantee that if you dig deeper into any area of your life where you are stuck you will come down to one of the top categories. How to we solve them? That’s the trick.
The question why I am poor, leads to much deeper introspection, usually linked to self-worth.
How To Solve It
Everything is fixable. Everything is fixable with small steps. Talk about it. Share it. As soon as you bring forth your deepest darkest secret, its power goes away. And don’t start with your deepest, darkest secret. Start with something small and manageable. Healing is a journey and it does not have to be all or nothing. It’s a little bit here and a little bit there.
If you can learn to listen to your heart and follow it’s guidance, while playing in the meanwhile, you have life figured out.
Good luck!
