I’ve been wanting to make a post on this subject for a while, but have been reluctant to do so.
I guess it shows how repressed we still are as a society.
In Taoist China, when you went to the doctor he would prescribe various sexual positions that would, in combination with the right herbs, nutrition and movement, help alleviate your condition.
Ancient India had Kama Sutra.
We have porn and one night stands.
We are supposedly a liberated society; there is sex everywhere. In magazines, movies, music. But we are still so uneducated and unfree.
The average girl knows very little about her cycle & takes carcinogenic and hormone disruptive birth control.
Men (& women) watch disempowering, objectifying, taking-you-out-of-your-body porn.
Then there is the proverbial line one can cross where you magically turn from a good girl to a slut.
Everyone loves sex, but only men are given permission to own it.
You’re gonna wear that? Ummm…
You masturbate? Ew.
Don’t moan so loud, people might hear you.
When something becomes taboo, there are so many deformed ways this free, life force creative energy starts to come out.
There’s so much to unpack here and I’d like to start somewhere.
